Also located on the square is the Shanghai Museum. Boasting a new building, the museum exhibits objects of Chinese art such as fine bronze, paintings and calligraphy, ceramics and furniture. Later on, take a stroll along the famous Bund, a mile-long riverside promenade framed with majestic European style buildings. You will find examples of Baroque and Neo-Classical design, also keep an eye for Art Deco edifices, there are quite a few of the on the Bund.

You will start in the old Shanghai and visit a peaceful and very beautiful Garden located next to City God Temple. Spread across 5 acres this piece of landscape design in Suzhou style has six main areas including a rockery, a chamber of ten thousand flowers, multiple halls, ponds, pavilions and towers. From old to new, your next stop will be the Oriental Pearl TV Tower. Built in 1994 for over a decade it was the tallest building in China. Finish the tour on the Nanjing Road, Shanghai’s main shopping street and the longest shopping street in the world (5.5km). Known as Park Lane in until the middle of the 19th century it attracts over one million visitors on daily basis.

Visite du musée de ShanghaiThe Shanghai Museum is a museum of ancient Chinese art and has a collection of over 120,000 pieces, including bronze, ceramics, calligraphy, furniture, jades, ancient coins, painting and much more. The Shanghai Museum houses several items of national importance, including one of three extant specimens of a "transparent" bronze mirror from the Han Dynasty.
